By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Scope of this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the Site. Some features described below may apply only if and when Holy Ground offers account registration, premium video courses, paid digital products, mobile applications, or other expanded services. If a feature is not yet active, the related data practices will not apply until that feature is offered.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, services, products, or platforms. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party sites or services, which are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

2. Information we collect

We may collect personal information that you provide directly to us. Depending on how you use the Site, this may include your first name, last name, email address, password, billing information, purchase history, messages sent through our contact form, newsletter subscription details, and any other information you choose to provide.

If account registration is enabled, we may collect the information needed to create and maintain your account and to provide access to purchased premium content. If you purchase digital products or services, we may collect order and transaction information. Payment card information may be processed by third-party payment providers rather than stored directly by Holy Ground.

We may also collect information automatically when you use the Site. This may include your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, dates and times of access, approximate location based on IP address, and information about how you interact with the Site. If we offer a reading portal, app, or premium video area, we may also collect information about reading activity, course progress, bookmarks, playback activity, or feature usage.

We may use cookies, pixels, log files, local storage, and similar technologies to remember preferences, improve performance, understand Site traffic, measure the effectiveness of content, and support analytics, embedded media, affiliate tracking, or advertising functions.

3. How we use information

We may use information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve the Site; provide theological articles, reading features, and digital resources; create and manage user accounts; process purchases and provide access to premium content; communicate with you about orders, account activity, support requests, updates, or newsletters; measure Site performance and user engagement; detect fraud, abuse, or technical problems; enforce our Terms of Service; and comply with legal obligations.

We may also use information to promote Holy Ground’s own products and services, including premium video courses, where permitted by law. If you subscribe to marketing or newsletter communications, you may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us through our contact form.

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary sense of exchanging your personal information for money. However, we may share information with third parties in the circumstances described below.

We may share personal information with service providers that help us operate the Site, process payments, host content, provide analytics, deliver email communications, maintain customer records, support app functionality, or provide related business services. Those providers may process information on our behalf subject to their own contractual or legal obligations.

We may share information with payment processors in connection with purchases. We may share information with analytics providers, hosting providers, embedded media providers, app platform providers, affiliate platforms, or similar vendors as needed for Site functionality and measurement.

We may also share traffic data, usage statistics, and transaction information with partners or other third parties on an aggregated, anonymous, or de-identified basis. This means the shared information is not intended to identify you personally.

If Holy Ground reviews, recommends, advertises, or links to third-party products or services, your interactions with those third parties may result in information being collected by them under their own privacy policies. Holy Ground is not responsible for those third-party privacy practices.

We may disclose information if we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, protect the rights or safety of Holy Ground or others, investigate fraud or abuse, or enforce our agreements.

We may also transfer information as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.

5. Cookies, analytics, advertising, and tracking

We may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site functioning, remember user preferences, understand how visitors use the Site, and improve content and services.

Third parties that support analytics, embedded content, affiliate functions, or advertising may also use cookies or similar technologies in connection with the Site. Those third parties may be able to collect information about your activity over time and across different websites or services, depending on their own practices and technologies.

You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. If you disable cookies, some parts of the Site may not function properly.

6. Do Not Track

Some web browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting or similar privacy signal. At this time, Holy Ground does not respond to browser-based Do Not Track signals in a uniform way. Third parties may still collect information about your online activities over time and across websites when you use the Site.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Site, maintain accounts, complete transactions, keep business and tax records, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

If you request deletion of your account or personal information, we may delete or anonymize certain information, but we may retain information where reasonably necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, transaction recordkeeping, security, backup, or other legitimate business purposes. If you purchased premium content, some purchase and account records may be retained even if account access is later removed.

8. Your choices and requests

If account functionality is available, you may be able to review, update, or correct certain account information by logging into your account.

You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information by contacting us through our contact form. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. In some cases, we may deny or limit a request where permitted or required by law.

If you no longer wish to receive marketing emails, you may unsubscribe using the unsubscribe link in the email or contact us through our contact form. Even if you opt out of marketing messages, we may still send transactional or service-related communications.

9. Children’s privacy

The Site is a general-audience theology website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA), if we become aware that we have knowingly collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate authorization where required by law, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to help protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. For that reason, Holy Ground cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for using a strong password if account registration is available.

11. Third-party products, services, and public content

The Site may include links to third-party products, software, dating services, counseling programs, reading tools, app stores, payment processors, analytics providers, or other outside services. Those services may collect information directly from you. Holy Ground does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their data practices.

The Site may also provide access to public-domain texts or other lawfully distributed materials. Your use of any third-party platform, store, or licensed content provider remains subject to that party’s own terms and privacy practices.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the policy. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
